And i say that as someone who already finished the main story.
Had zero fun in any of those act boss fights, they are just tedious and badly designed unless you are one of the specific builds they are tailored to.
Then they are a cakewalk.
Just put the game down to "story mode" difficulty on the main screen. Then kill Lambach and set it back to "normal" afterwards.
I played a pretty squishy dual pistol build with high DPS/Crit but got constantly one hitted in those boss fights on "normal".
They are still not super easy on story mode but doable.
Zero regrets.
I think it's just the matter of player's knowledge about the game. On first time going through the story people barely had any sense of what gears their character really need and how stats are meant to be allocated also factor in other aspects of the game which are incredibly forgiving compared to cheaper bosses. But I think people will get better eventually when their knowledge catches up.
if anything else, I used the big form as a panic button to protect myself and turn back when needed.
It has this huge AOE that instakills any squishy caught in it that you avoid by standing in a circle, but it can also at the same time plant landmines that also oneshot you inside this circle while also spawning mobs.
Only way i found to deal with it was to use my ascension to survive those moments and slowly wear this big bugger down in the meanwhile.
Then it was not so bad, but by the time i finally got him down i was out of ascension power and hells it was close.
And this with a build that pretty much instagibbed any elite or special mob i found along the way while also clearing the first phase in like 2 minutes.
