Technical Version Info Conflict

Hello Wolcen Studio,

I help building up a security-tool that checks your system for installed applications and that reports wich of your applications have known vulnerabilities.
The tool also tells you when there are new versions of your installed applications available.
So it is more than a simple update-manager.

I wanted to add Wolcen to our database but here I have problems getting the version information properly.

When I start Wolcen then I see in the main menu at the top-left corner the following version number:
1.0.4.0 Beta

In the EXE file (Wolcen.exe) I get the following information:

File Version String:    3,8,6,53
File Version:           3.8.6.53
Product Version String: 3.8.6.53
Product Version:        3.0.0.0

So these version numbers do not match to the version displayed in the main menu.

What version number is the version of the game?
If it is one of the versions of the EXE: why is it not displayed in the main window?
Where is the correct version number stored?
