They added a chapter 4 and said with it the campaign was complete (no more chapter to be expected for the campaign).
But the chapter 4 is the story arc for Bloodtrail followed by a loop which is mostly the endgame with a little touch of story on it (which is more a continuation of Bloodtrail arc than the campaign).
Lot of things stay unanswered. The ellipse between the end of chapter 3 and 6 months later is untouched. Etc.
The campaign has ended. But it was not completed and probably never will (we'll have to see what they do story wise with the seasons).
Infinity the basically borked, since beyond 300 skulls is impossible. And even if it wasn't, your always going to hit a wall where you cannot progress further due to the limitations of GOF and weapons/gear available. It's damn frustrating that a game as good as this, is let down by lack of content and bad decision making.
This is so true. I'm only 20 hours into the game and the writing is on the wall already. I was just getting into the story by chapter 4 and it's ending...?! This game could have been epic! It needed about 40 chapters and no doubt other things for longevity in the end game as mentioned above.
To sum it up: it could have been truly great. I guess I'm moving on to Last Epoch sooner than expected.
You're better off playing the game yourself and getting a final verdict by yourself because this game's forums are infested with entitled crybabies expecting AAA quality from an indie developer.
