2. Offline allows for mods, which are not enabled online for balancing concerns. Also, online you can trade. Offline has cheaper stuff to help solo progress
Bonus: gear grind is done at endgame, with the missions (don't want to spoil it)
But yeah, zones does not seem to be resetting (at least during the time i played yesterday), which is a problem when an even trigger fails and you have to refresh the zone to get it working again.
incase if you just tp in and out of the city. the mob didn't respawn.
Example: I got the wp after the early ... cannon? ... Act1 fight. Went ahead, killed stuff in the map, noticed the spot where the next quest probably triggered. Went back to town. Exited game. When I came back I loaded into town, went back to WP, that map area was respawned.
Which leads me to realizing I have no idea how this game saves quest points. I get the gear etc. is saved on exit but when does it actually save quest progress? Hasn't felt consistent.
It's really not clear, hence why so many people are complaining about rollbacks and wipes. I exited immediately after you said (first cave) and lost all progress after the cannon
But yeah, inconsistent feeling. There's no "saving" message on-screen far as I can see - a simple thing like that would help a lot. >.>
still no spell drops though I'm getting a bit miffed
