How to use skins?

How do you use those skins that saya you have unlocked when you pick new gear?

Also surprised that the game doesn't tell you about this. Sure, we can look in the control settings, but there is a tutorial screen for everything else . . .

how can you un-skin?
so your car shows the skin he wears? and if you switch items it shows the new item?
ive skinned my helm but cant undo it

It does. Or at least it did for me.

To undo a skin, there's a box with an X on it, the furthest left of the skin selections.

The most fun part about the skin and color system is that all of your unlocks will get deleted randomly - mark my words ;)

Game tells you about it when you pick up a dye for the first time.

Also.....yes, I've lost all my skins and dyes 3 times.....so don't get too happy when you do find that elusive Dye.....
