Wow dude, i was not expecting this
20fps.
I know my pc is kinda potato but 20fps... What the ♥♥♥♥ is wrong? I can play Red Dead Redemption, i used to play Path of Exile without any performance issues (look my profile), i tought this game would play smoothly on my pc but its totally unaceptable.
Cutscenes play fine but when its time to play, the fps goes down really bad.
Any tips? Am I focked? Will have to refund?
Please help.

Cryengine always been resource heavy. You hitting bottleneck somewhere between GPU,CPU or Ram. If you can post your basic system specs.

Post your specs.

I run 160 FPS with everything on very high. I'd advise checking the minimum/maximum specs before buying a game!

I ran the game with no issues at all for a few hours, but it sometimes does frame lags here and there which is pretty annoying. I'm sure patches will come.

The game runs for me at 120 fps constantly even though I wish I could limit it to 60. It's your computer.

i3 530 (2,9ghz)
8 ram
Geforce GT 1030

(Yeah, i know, a living potato, but as i told, i used to play Path of Exile with this same machine without any trouble and somehow can play Red Dead Redemption with it).
The game being similar to PoE i tought wouldnt have any trouble.

There is an option to limit frames in video settings. I set mine to match refresh rate of monitor.

... why would you want to limit it to 60?

You can limit it in the options. You check a box and to limit it then slide the bar to 120

If he got 60hz screen there is no profit from that. He would be just wasting resources

Well that's a 10 year old cpu, path of exile came out in 2013 so I could see it running that but a game from 2020 no way. That gpu was weak when it came out in 2017 and could barely get 60fps @ 1080 in a few games at the time.

Probably time to put some money away and buy a new mobo and gpu/cpu, wouldn't hurt to bump your ram up to 16gb as well.
tford1956 Feb 13, 2020 @ 2:22pm
disable motion blur. its in the threads.
GatyKahn Feb 13, 2020 @ 2:24pm
Don't want too sound like that guy, but your CPU has extremely bad specs. 1030 is a really bad gpu and 530 is 10 years old by now. U need to buy a new computer mate.

Honestly 20 frames I commend you computer running it that well, Your system alone eats most of the 8 gigs of ram for basic resources just to run, the i3 is 2 core 4 thread thats pushing low end but you know that and the cryengine will tax the cpu to the ends of the earth, along with the video having low video ram 2 gigs if i recall for the 1030 hense why cut scenes run decent because not much physics in play or alot rendered.
