Why are in so many games the female hairs so short or like "punk"?

Good question. Character creation as it is now leaves a lot of room for new hairstyles, facial hair, etc. though, so here's hoping.

It seems they copy pasted the male hairstyles to female - females actually have more hairstyles than male ...

Why even bother adding character creation at all if its like this ....

For me since 3-4 years in every game the female hair is rly short nearly "man like". Wolcen, Metro, Outer Worlds, Dying Light girls, Dark Souls Serie, The Division 1+2 (faces their too), heck even Divinity Original Sins 2...(mods thank god). Last long hair (rly rly long hair) got Code Vein for me

If it makes y'all feel any better, 99% of the armour looks like it literally covers you from head to toe.

Better a protective armor then skimpy high fantasy female nude armor which arrow got stuck in bikini top and male player between helmet hole while wearing full plate armor xD

Then there is a toggle for show helmet or not for armors like this and let the player decide. Even if the hair clips into armor like in Fallout or Skyrim with modded hair i pref longer hair.
The only longer hair is the ponytail one but it instantly make my forehead visible af

From a lore perspective you could say the hair was cut short due to the main character being a warrior and long hair could easy obstruct view in the middle of a battle. there's plenty of ways to justify only having short hair.

Not every character is a warrior. Some are mages, others archers, rogues, etc.
Besides, it's fantasy. Give the player options.

Yup..been following this game and was hoping to see some options once females were released. Very disappointed to see the exact same short and half shaved styles as every other western style game in recent years. Even if they copied the half cut to the other side and made it a full hairstyle..at least that would be better.

I imagine it has something to do with nordic settings. Watch enough Vikings and tell me they don't have 'punk' hair. xD

Tbh it has more something to do with a heretic chatolic fanatic factions vs doom's satan prayers who will perform necromancy and a 3rd faction with spirits from supernatural lmao
