Why Is My FPS Tied To My Cursor?
Why is my fps tied to my mouse cursor movements? Game was running fine up until I got to that first mission outside the first town you come across and I noticed during that event my frames were constantly going between over 100 to under 30. Once the fight was done I did some testing with vsync both on and off.

Moving around would dip my fps horribly like I described above. When I would stand still and not move my mouse at all, I'd be sitting at 130+ fps. The moment I touched my mouse and moved the cursor(still standing still) the frames would drop to between 30-35 fps. I thought it might of been a coincidence so I tried it several more times, both moving the mouse and keeping my hands off the mouse. Every single time I moved the cursor my frames would dip horribly.

This is really making it unbearable to play. I played well past this point in the beta and the game ran buttery smooth for me, so it has to be a backend bug I would think with the launch version.

P.S.
If you make a male character, select a beard, then go back and change your gender to female, your female character will have a beard.

Interesting - had the same issue at the same location (then I restarted the game and have been unavailable to re-join since then).
And I went through all beta content just fine.

i have exactly the same problem! fps drops at the same spot when i move the mouse, If i move the mouse around really fast the game almost freezes!

right, this is the reason for the shuttering. What the hell is this?
Is there a workarround not to have the shuttering? The game is unplayable.

Same issue but just went to main menu and then back in and it was fine.

I have very thing maxed out and getting steady 60FPS. Of course we probably have different setups, but you could try first dialing back that anti-aliasing i see it's defaulted at high.

restarting the game seemed to work for me.
