Repeating this argument does not make it any more correct. If you had read the devs' postings and statements over the past few months, you would know better. The focus isn't on us regiments, it's on the randoms.

I've shot muscle loaders and you don't get "jarred" by the musket going off next to you. Maybe if you're not used to the sound of shots, in the beginning. But by the time they hit the battlefield, these soldiers would have fired many, many, many rounds (many more then I have) in practice drills.
I agree on the sway though, these weapons (especially the smooth bores) are relatively light compared to later bolt action rifles.
