The 65th Illinois Infantry Company H have been formed and are looking for soldiers to fill its ranks!

History

Through the streets of Harper's Ferry, to the cities of Franklin and Nashville, Tennessee, the 65th Illinois Infantry Regiment has proudly served the Union and will forever serve the Union until this war comes to a stop.

The Sixty-Fifth Regiment Illinois Infantry Volunteers, Known as the "Scotch Regiment" was organized at Camp Douglas, Chicago, Ill., in the spring of 1862, by Colonel Daniel Cameron, Jr., and mustered into United States' service May 1, 1862. Mustered out July 13 and discharged at Chicago, Ill., July 26, 1865.
