Is there a way to check kills?
Great game, love the cultural enrichment, and the fact the game doesnt favor one side over another. its a great slice of US history that people overlook because "DixiE iS RaCiSt" buzzwords.

is there any way to check the kills? out of all the random shooting into hedgelines, cornfields and fences, its hard for me to see and often leaves me puzzled if ive hit anything at all.

any information given is welcomed

In a drillcamp you may shoot targets and see the results.

the group I am in, "Shenandoah Regulars" - SR - has one up most times:
the title starts with: "4th Texas..."

Nope. Devs have been pretty firm on this design choice since before it came to Steam. I hope you still give it a chance. It's a lot of fun. I've been playing it on and off for the past 6-7 years.

Sometimes it bugs me when I swear I hit someone but I can't tell if they dropped, but I understand why they want to disincentivize people going "Rambo mode".

It's useless information. Go to a drill camp shooting range and practice until you become confident of where you are hitting at certain distances. When you are in a battle, keep calm and aim carefully and you'll know you are getting hits. Aim for center mass. If you go for headshots all the time, you'll miss. Even if the enemy are behind a fence aim for their waist because even if you hit the fence there's still a 70% chance the bullet will go through (this works for wood buildings too. Aim between the doors and windows, not at them. The enemy will be in the corners and some will be crouched down so aim low enough to get hits).
