How long is the Zombie Mode available?

Yep its gone. This time last week at 12am there were full servers and now there are none. Ya, I get it, players will become bored of it but players also become bored of the regular game so why not leave zombie mode in? CYA next year.

Yeah I don't agree with not giving server owners options to play different modes like Risen, Onslaught, snow and autumn maps.

Maybe they don't want to 'have to' support bug fixes and stuff for zombie modes through the year, but you could leave it as is for both risen + onslaught modes and people would still have fun. And there's no reason/excuse to not give the option for snow or autumn maps year round.

I wonder that there may be a potential for a special limited time to make each mode open as a community appreciation thing or some such - maybe occasionally, ay, DEVs ?

Devs made it time limited, 2 weeks a year only, and so far the game mode has changed the two years it's run. So who knows what next year will bring. I wish they would allow server owners to choose this mode as a permanent option.

They only allow it for 2 weeks a year, it's ♥♥♥♥. There's only one official server usually, the other 90 are private GPortal servers. They did say they were opening up to dedicated servers and other hosts a while back but it still hasn't happened. Private servers are stupidly expensive to run too.

I think they don't allow zombie mode all year around because they don't have the time or resources to be responding to bugs / bug fixing for this mode and are focused on the primary game. BUT.. I don't think that's a good excuse. It should be allowed to be played all year for those that want it.

However, I think it's a bit boring to play too long.. another reason to only allow for a couple of weeks is that it does get stale after enough plays. I preferred last year's 'Risen' mode.. they should bring that one back as a permanent option and I'd play that more throughout the year though. It was better because there were 2 maps and the points rotated endlessly, you weren't stuck defending the same point round after round.

It will be back next Halloween, but I agree it sucks they don't allow it all year.
