Is there any way I can open .pak files in the game files?

Im wanting to use some of the death sounds for a gmod addon that im creating but i have no idea how to open or extract the .pak files

Using 7-zip, winrar, or any of the sort doesn’t work and ive tried all sorts of youtube tutorial but they didnt work. Also im very new to this so i could very well be dumb

You may simply record them live rather than sift thru code for them..
I suppose if there is a another issue of giving credit to the maker of them also.
