You'll be sad to hear that more people are banded together to keep them from implementing a kill counter. You already do get a team kill count at the end with seeing the out of lines, skirmish, and in formation deaths, but it is unlikely you will ever see a personal count as WoR is more MilSim than shooter.
If you must have a game that performs in this manner, then one may play any number of others which have this feature.
However, in truth, it is impossible to refer to such a setting as 'accurate' if the objective is also to be 'historical.'
In history, there may be battles which we possibly may never know why they were won or lost. Reality is filled with the unknown.
Blessings to you and yours in Christ, amen
This is not a game that caters to the participation trophy crowd
I just got the game and yes its pretty lame. Most of the time the leader has you lined up so far away from the enemy, you end up firing into a clump of bushes and trees. "Fire at the smoke" lol yeah ok, thats why we need a counter.
This game is fun because of the immersion and the community
Firing your singleshot rifle, without having a target isn't realism, its suicide.
EDIT: That's why you have so many rambos running around on the servers. They wanna see wtf they're shooting at and whether or not they killed someone. And FYI... Call of Duty sucks! America's Army is realism at its best since version 1.7 #HOOAH
One of the worst things in games today is the egos and guys screaming at everyone who have less kills than them.
I like that if my regiment takes aim where we are told and fire that we see tickers drop and know we are doing our part and half the team isn't " doing their own thing" so they can call people out at the end who don't have 200 kills.
I literally uninstalled PS, and HLL because nobody would be a officer and it forced me to be a officer every match and have a full squad full of Rambos who where just trying to run up personal scores while our team lost.
Keep up the realism WoR.
I agree, I miss the positive feedback from seeing that I did in fact hit something at range, but I understand why they don't and adapt accordingly. You will have people chasing scores over teamwork, which is why Darktide also removed said tallies.
In the end, your personal contribution is important, but overall team effect is way more. I've had games where I die as soon as I spawn and take nobody with me pretty much the entire map, and I've had maps where I've killed over half a dozen men in multiple charges on one life. Sometimes you eat the rebel, and sometimes the rebel eats you.
