Why WoR launcher is a Virus?

Had no Problem playing the game , Today my anti virus detected WoR launcher this:
":\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\War of Rights\War of Rights Launcher.exe is infected with Gen:Variant.Tedy.389882".
Any idea?

Most likely a false flag by your A/V. I don't own this game but have seen the identical problem in other PC games. Just allow an exception within your A/V program for the game. Another option is to disable your A/V when playing if your confident your on a secure server.

Do a search for what steps to take to clean and remove that particular virus.

It is possible that is a 'false flag,' but, depending on that particular thing, it is best to treat it as not false, just in case.

I'm getting this same warning from my a/v. I'm gonna wait for the devs to acknowledge this and see what they say. Until then I had my a/v delete the infected file. Did some research and that code says it can be a keylogger and other things so I'm gonna play it safe.

It's just the anti virus softwares reporting false flags. Happens all of the time unfortunately.

Why would steam allow viruses to be sold....
