with the discussion groups here, you will see a USA recruiting listing and a CSA recruiting listing. Also, within the WoR Discord channel you may see registered units there.

In general, you will very quickly be contacted when you are in the public server and it is a very competitive, 'dog eat dog' type of thing where someone gets your attention and asks, or event tells you you 'have to' join their group or 'regiment'

Speaking for the group I got into, you may see the links in my Steam profile try where is reads, "CLICK HERE" to follow a link to our Discord channel and for the Steam text/voice channel which we use to alert anyone for when a event will start.

For the benefit of all those seeking a group, there are some things to ensure that you have in common before you 'just' join the 1st who asks..

1. What is the event schedule? If someone recruits you and you discover that you cannot join in any events, then there is no point in joining that particular group.

2. What do you do - what can I do?

If you prefer line infantry, artillery, cavalry or sharpshooter, or the possibility of earning a lead role, then those are considerations also

Welcome to WoR!

Getting recruited to a regiment is pretty simple; just hopp into a public round without unit tags and wait what´s going to happen...

Getting recruited to the right regiment that suits you requires a little bit more, there are various options. Beside from time zone (drills and especially events), native language, preferred side and access to big events on a regular base you have to fit in the individual style of the unit to really feel comfortable there. So maybe the fist good option is not the best option available for you, you will just have to try it.

I could recommend you one or the other unit if you give me the following points: Time zone and preferred days of the week as well as desired language and whether USA or CSA.
BTW: Based on your profile, my own regiment will probably not be among them. ;)

only a few other groups which have near the attention to certain details which SR has
we require a audio session / interview 1stly..

For those who would like, here is the WoR Discord list of Registered units:
https://discord.gg/eUxRkq2M

Just submitted a update for SR, and my profile in Steam should have a few good links.

not wasting anyone's time, really..

investing the time to find what works for all involved.
Another way you can get into a good unit is to "shop" for one on Youtube. What I mean by that is, search for recent Youtube videos of War of Rights and you'll notice that many of them are posted by specific units. Watch the videos and note how they act, communicate and fight and if their Discord or Teamspeak information is in the video description you can use those links to contact them or you can just find them in game. They may also have their own server, so you can maybe meet a unit member there. War of Rights also has it's own website. It's a clunky way of contacting units (the information there tends be be very old) but it could work if you need it.

am not sure that 'many' or 'most' have a youtube channel "at all"

more typically, from what I have seen, some of the bigger groups have yt presence..

Twitch has some.

Reddit has some.

I would say that the more common, singularly 'go to' is the listings of drillcamp servers when you click "Browse Servers" in WoR.

Some regiments will sometimes pop into pub servers, but they will still be acting as an organized unit. The only thing I've seen from when this is done is that if only one side has one or two organized units the other gets frustrated because they are all randos trying to organize and not everyone wants to do that in pub matches. That or if you have organized regiments on both sides the fight sometimes comes down to those two fighting it out with random pubers doing whatever or essentially becoming an extended part of their lines.

Shenandoah Regulars does "all the above" ...

pubs are good for laughs, and you cannot afford to expect a win when you got clowns and idiots - sometimes just a few or even one who is 'ticket trolling' whether intentionally or unknowingly will throw a map win...

still, we try anyways - we love this game 'too much' and for the guys who have not so many hours in, getting familiar with each map and so on..

have fun where we can..

most like the evens, and when someone gets into those - if they are not in WoR for the enjoyment of 'stupid' all the time, then some never turn bak.

But, no one 'has to' do or be anything - you find your fun and enjoy ^^

Thank you. No one wants a boy like you in their regiment, you wouldn't last long. You're doing the community a huge favor by not joining one. Again, thank you.

Regiments allow good comradeship for events or public. Generally great for helping new players to.
