Officers Reload Pistols
Why cant officers reload their reolvers after shooting 6 times? it makes no sense. I would love if they could add that feature to the game.

To prevent ramboing/abuse of their superior weapon.

but its only effective at close range and even then officers mainly use their swords.

They opted for not allowing reload, and reducing the amount of officers, because a couple of officers could decimate a line in alphas.I personally would wish they hadn't gone for the slower route, meaning the slow reloads, slow respawns, no reloads for officers, almost no officers etc.

The slow respawns also makes the battles feel smaller, if we had larger and faster spawns it'd feel like a bigger battle. Better rifles (not that much), more fluid melee and faster switching stances etc all that, in general a more fluid and faster game, would make it less clumsy and feel more grand.

Don't get me wrong, I love this game and I recommend it! But I wish it would make some changes.

If they don't want people go rambo with it, they should make it so that you can only reload like 3 times, but only if you are near a friendly line.
I know you modern warfare ppl imagine reloading a pistol to be an easy and simple thing to do. Just slap in a new mag and rawr! Those mean devs purposfully took away your quick release drum mags because they HATE fun. While you are stuck with no ammo after blowing it all in the first 2 minutes of your life feel free to enjoy all the now free time you have watching someone load an actual revovler from that era. https://youtu.be/11lvRGe1uHY
Notice howthis video is over 20 minutes long? Now try that only instead of being all relaxed sitting at a table you are crouched down while I am killing the mates on your right and left and you have to try and relocate to avoid the same fate yourself.

If Officers are using their weapons often they aren’t good Officers.

There are several pistols that are/will be added to WoR that would realistically only take 15-25 seconds to reload for even a relatively untrained man.

Psst! Do not anger the grognards! They want everything to be complicated and cumbersome so they can feel superior to the "modern warfare" crowd! ;)

Fascinating anecdote. It really doesnt refute any of the things I've shown but hey who needs avidence when you have the power of BELIEF.

But your only "avidence" is a video of an enthusiast casually reloading a pistol as a demonstration, rather than in any kind of combat or atleast timed situation.

It remains the only "evidence". If your want to imply that somehow it would be eaiser to do in combat well, you'd be wrong.

Heres someone reloading an 1858 in just 25 secs or so, and even then hes being purposefully slow as a demonstration.

Bro I hate to break it to you but those "Piettas" are not period the real remingtons that were available to people were not speed loaders. DO YOUR HOMEWORK FFS. They did not start making those replicas until 1985!

Paper cartridges do not take long to reload. And that is what was mostly used (for pistols), by both sides, during the CW. The only men that really preferred loose powder and ball were some Confederate cavalry.

Paper carts were even easy to make out in the field.

Of course there are more vidoes around showing how to load the cap and ball revolvers, since it is "odd" to modern shooters. :D

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQsXfnR1UxU

The lady starts loading a chamber of a Lefaucheux Rimfire revolver at 2:23 (there were even LeMat's around for that system, but it seems they were only sold in Europe). The S&Ws back then probably loaded even faster, since they did not have that "nook" at the side.

I am not claiming that all revolvers should be like that, but it is utter bull to claim that faster weapons were not available and that all revolvers should take 20 minutes to load.
