Well first where we agree, porting gives the devs access to Game Pass, where on that, you have both console and pc players, being game pass is on both.
In addition, with that, you'll almost never run out of players, being it's free on game pass. The Devs would likely get revenue from Microsoft. Add it on PS, and it could get hyped as a "cross platform civil war", which could interest folks.
The Bot Mode (which is a mode, not in the main game) is something that could give players who are maybe new, or older, or younger, or don't otherwise want to integrate into the MP very quickly, or at all, an outlet to play the game.
After a day of work, or school, folks may not be in the mood for chat, or otherwise competition, but maybe just want to jump in to a simple line fight across all the maps in a simple fight.
Doesn't have to be fancy, say a 12 v 12, where the system like the game Darkest of Days (don't know what else to compare it to) moves you up to the line, and the fight ensues you with the AI team and the enemy. It could act as a tutorial of sorts, but an outlet for those who are not into MP.
Third Person. That could also be on the SP Mode, with just an over the shoulder view. Games like this, folks may want to see the historical uniforms, and their characters. Again, it doesn;t have to be portion to the main game, but again, an outlet.
I think the game would do much better if these were integrated.
the game is not dying ive seen lots of matches (public) up all week ive actually been in them well over 100 people on atleast 2 occasions
on top of that ive seen events all weekend with regiments aswell as public matches
and plus we are not too far away with artillery being added as they are only fixing bugs with them now and because of them adding horses to arty they have cut time in half for cavalry which means cavalry could be here sooner than we expect
Thats been my experience in the month or so Ive been playing I usually get on about midnight or so and play till about 3 or 4. by then its so dead there is no match its just boring then (Sometimes) because when it starts to get dead is when the Shenanigans start with Parlay and sitting and chatting with the enemy at the church before someone nit wit destroys the truce and kills all 4 of you lol.
Good times.
As you can see, its in progress :)

i agree although im sure there was no fort sieges in this campaign it would be cool if they did a siege dlc and dare i say a naval campaign dlc in the future as i would love to see them both
but normally players start playing after 8pm british till like 3 am british time thats ur best chance of finding a decent sized match
We need Sow belly and Hardtack lol
WOW that video isnt the same one I saw you guys are doing AMAZING!! Keep it up boys.
Well, if the rationale is "everyone will play the bot mode and kill it further", would mean, a bot mode would be popular. That's a good thing to have more people buy and play the game.
Would it kill a mp that's already relatively dead? Likely not. The key is, getting folks to play the game, no matter which mode they play.
As far as Third Person, i really can't see an issue of an over the shoulder view if one chooses.
The great thing about PC Gaming, is choice, in having various choices. And being the game can't be modded, the Devs should add more choices, and maybe more would play. I continue to see these "mp only" historical games....fail. And it's a shame.
- More than a game: War of Rights is a vision that keeps expanding its scale. The project is entirely crowdfunded and has been developed on for the past 6 years. We consider it more of an ever evolving artistic piece rather than a final product with a targeted release deadline with set features.
^ thats a public statement from the developers of war of right. Can be found if ones looks into what WOR is and are about before buying in on it.
In short war of rights are not about becoming millionaires or a AAA dev company. But to create something that the pople behind the game (and many others evidently) found where missing in this world.
Regarding you'r claim about a dying game, well numbers have only been going up. Along side the multiplude numbers of events.
