Tracking of kills and deaths
i would really like to be able to see how many times i died or killed someone atleast at the end of the game like squad. Its a bit annoying because i could sit there 20 mins at a fence trading shots with people and i have no idea if i am even killing anyone and am just wasting my time sucking.

I was bothered by it at first. But when 20+ of your guys line up and fire a volly, you wouldn't really know who hit who anyway, and thats the immersion. The end game screen displays overall team kill count, its a team game anyway.

It’s a nice way of knowing where your aiming, that you hit your target right? Makes you feel good when an onscreen prompt tells you

“You killed Steve 77.4meters away”

However, this game has taken a different approach and a one I agree on. I’ll explain

The game mode/version that most run games run with have a feature that tells you the score board etc etc K/D ratio.

However, what this does and encourages is inpatients, which leads to lone wolfs, people who don’t want to wait in line and march forward, leads to those that cannot be bothered to RP (role play).

But this game wants you to do this, and being alone has several disadvantages;

Suppression fatigue (I think it’s called)
Morale bonus/loss

Your survival rate is dramatically increased being in a line formation.

The enemy has more targets to choose but you.

You have more firepower firing back at the enemy than just your 2-3 rounds per minute.

And you drain the enemy tickets faster being in line formation

Your team looses 1 ticket when you die whilst you are in formation

However, that’s increased to 5 tickets per death if you are lone wolfing.

So in short.... if you want to play a game oriented around a time when line formations were standard battle procedure. Then don’t play it.

I think the only exception is the sharpshooters (think Sharpe)

Where they would favour the skirmish formation.

Hope this helped slightly, I think I rambled and went off topic,

Ok I did go on, in short

Scoreboard = holdfast
No scoreboard = line formations/team play to win the game, not just top shot.

Go to the drill camp, press T and get to the firing range. Here you can see your fall of shot at different ranges. Handy little feature.

i think squad does it good if you have everplayed it doesnt show when you killed someone and thats not what i would want; at the end of the game it pops up and shows how everone did. If someone wants to do their own thing and not play as a team i think they would do it eitherway. irregardless i enjoy the teamplay and will still enjoy the game with or without.

I like squads way of doing things yes

How about adding a hit sound like on Post Scriptum? It doesn't encourage lone wolfing and you also get the satisfaction of knowing you hit something.

There is a hit sound in PS? Never noticed.

usually headshots you hear a nice ping and body shots sound like you punch cloth

IF any tracking of kills, there could be a Regiment KD score. Example:
Regiment A : 148 Kills
Regiment B : 2 Kills

Your team kills total : 150 Kills.

yup it is really that simple. I too wonder why people opt in on a game, only to try and change it's nature......

But we can proceed without fear, as devs have stated - several times - that they will not be implementing any indicator or individualised killscore.

In reality you would have zero knowledge if you hit or not, volley fire is what it says it is, just fire straight ahead and keep on firing in volume, skirmishers would have a better idea if they hit as they were trained marksman.

Kill/Death stats defeat the whole purpose of this game. It is supposed to be a real combat experience. You have to see it for yourself. Also, that would affect teamwork in the game. So, I like it the way it is.

Im probably the worst shot in my company but they'll never know <3

I think that making it so after the match you can see how you did wouldn't make more lone wolves considering the gameplay of itself punishes going on your own. Obviously there shouldn't be a kill notification or hitmarker or even a scoreboard during the match that you see your kills on, that would ruin the immersion of the game ofc but after the game is over I think you should be able to see your own kills just so you know if you did any good at all. For all I know I suck ass at the game and have gotten 3 kills in all my hours, or I could secretly be a God tier sharpshooting beast but I couldn't know cause there isn't anything to tell me and if I try to wait and look too confirm my kill I get shot. So it's just a little frustrating not knowing if you are contributing anything to the team or just wasting bullets

You are shooting into puffs of smoke across a map. Why should you know? If the puffs of smoke stop and people around you are no longer getting shot.... You did your part. the officer with the binos will see what the situation is up there and guide you
