Obligatory question on a game like this. Can we play as a female and date the girls?

I want the game even without, but with it would be double the fun! :-) And if it only is one for reaching the ending of the game.

I've ♥♥♥♥♥♥ past the blue and green heart stages with Rebecca, but I have now decided to go for Lana. The only problem is for the past 10-15 game days she seems to be stuck at full green heart and I can't seem to get her to ask me to meet her the next day for whatever it is.... Please help!!!...
