Best Layout
Anyone know where to put things like hotel rooms, offices, and apartments? My layouts always fall apart before I can get one star.

What exactly is your problem, I have many different layouts, depending on the scenario or if you are playing free mode, give us a little more information to help you.

If I wanted to make an apartment building, hotel, or office building. Sorry for the confusion.

Do not worry, it is not confusion, it is that in this game you can do so many things and in so different ways, besides that things change if you play the scenarios, I am going to give you an example of a tower that has apartments and a hotel

I use excel to plan my layout, in red I have the restaurants, in brown the stores, blue the hotel and so, you need to know in advance the size of the services, stores and others.

These guides can help you

Can you label the rooms by chance? For example what does "ST" mean, or "XT", or "LU" now please and thank you.

And what do ALL the colors represent too please.

I assume that was what you needed, that layout is one of my previous versions, my layout are now more specific.

Brown Stores
  • ST small store
  • MT medium store
  • LT large store
  • XT luxury store

Red Restaurants
  • SR small restaurant
  • MR medium restaurant
  • GR gourmet restaurant
  • XT luxury store

Purple Apartments
  • St studio apartment
  • 1BR small one-bedroom apartment
  • 2BR small two-bedroom apartment
  • 2BRL large two-bedroom apartment

The light blue are the hotel, the rooms are not labeled, from smallest to largest size are single occupancy, double occupancy, junior and large hotel room.

I really don't wanna Necro this post but i just started playing Highrise and your pictures are MOST helpful!

Just a quick question:
it's been four years but do you recall what MOF, LOC, SOI, HQT etc did stand for?
LOC could be "Large Office Complex" i assume?

Hi,
for example, HQT stay for an HQ Suite, the Tech Company Corporate HQ.

In the linked Room Prerequisite guide can you find all of them.
