Using the Luggage cart service
I just picked up the Las Vegas expansion, and I keep getting "Destination unreachable with a cart!" notifications for all of my hotel rooms. I have a service elevator going all the way to the ground floor and Luggage Service facilities on each floor I have hotel rooms.

What is required for carts to make it to a room?

Hi,

please post a screenshot of the surroundings of the room with the issue. Thanks.

Here are a few:

The service elevators go all the way down to ground level. I don't know if it matters, but there is a plaza between the check-in desk and the service elevator entrance--the whole building consists of a couple of towers linked by skybridges with a plaza in the center at ground level.

Can you please post 2 screenshots of the ground floor of both towers?

Thanks.

Here's a screenshot that allows you to see the ground floor of both towers:

The big Check-In desk is on the far left of the left tower, but the service elevator is on the far right of the right tower. There's also a Luggage Service facility near the plaza in the right tower--I was experimenting at first because I wasn't sure if there had to be one on the same floor as the desk where guests check in.

Create a duplicate of the savegame and try to move the check in desk in the right tower.

Or create an unique ground floor for both towers.

I put a second deluxe check-in desk in the right tower next to the service elevators, but I'm getting the same issue.

You should remove first the check in desk on left tower...

While removing the first check-in desk didn't solve the issue, I may have figured it out. It was another service requiring a cart (room service, maybe?) that didn't have elevator access, and I didn't realize it because I put in luggage service at the same time as guests started using the other service. Since all services appeared to be below capacity, I thought it was getting stuck on a previous lack of user

So I think this was user error on my part. Indicating the type of cart that can't make it through in the alert popup might be a helpful change in the future if you get the chance, though.

This is an absolute bug and needs to be fixed. I cannot resolve it.

Could you let us know exactly what problem you're having? The previous poster's problem was apparently just some confusion on their part.

No matter what I try I cannot get rid of this message during checkin. I added a second service elevator. No luck. It doesn't make sense.

I figured it out. The kitchen services must have access to a service elevator. It has nothing to do with luggage. kleinbottle brought up a good point. The message needs to be more specific. What cart? What kind of cart?

I had the same problem until I realized the laundry service also needs access to the service elevators. Problem solved.
