Maintenance
I've searched and seen similar discussions about this, but none reaching a decent conclusion.

I'm using barely a third of my building space, have all the maintenance offices I can and I still get this:

5 guys sat around doing nothing whilst the report shows nearly 200 people unhappy that things are broken around here.

Is there a solution?

(They might be on a lunch break or something - but the fact remains, even if they are working at max capacity, it isn't sufficient to maintain even a relatively small tower)

Hi,

have you activated the auto repair option in the large maintenance office?

I certainly have... from the second it was available.

Mods enabled?

Inaccessible path?

It's very strange...

Hi!

First, you can put the ''Broom closet'' at every floor above the ground,
and put ''Supply room'' in the basement.

But it is very difficult to resolve ''Things are pretty broken around here.''

When I played this game,
Many people always complain ''Things are pretty broken around here.''
I can't find a way to resolve.

(I think it is the cause of the elevator being easy to break down.)

And, there is a new mod in the workshop,
it will reduce the numbers of ''Supply room'' that you put in the basement.

Thanks for the thoughts - I have that broom closet already. I think it is just the elevators. One person waits 1 second for a lift, and they have the negative thought all day. Seems a bit excessive to me given the potential size towers can get.

I can't see a mod that turns off elevator maintenance, that would be nice to try and see if it confirms things.

Elevator breakdown is directly affected by the amount of traffic an elevator sees. You can clearly see when an elevator breaks down by the visual smoke. If you see a lot of breakdowns, you might need more elevators. Although you could still have times where all elevators will be shut down at one point or another (especially in a crowded tower). Place maintenance offices vertically throughout your tower to help them reach the floors easier. Don't keep them all in the basement. This could also be an issue of workers being stuck or not finding the path. But usually that results in an empty maintenance room, not one full of workers.

Be careful with that mod you could overdo it and place too many supply rooms and all your elevator use may be filled with workers. Haha. This is also true if you have a lot of service workers travelling. They can clog up the system so to speak. Again, spreading services vertically really helps with that.

hmmm with use makes sense - perhaps it's time to finally invest in that second elevator stack... :D

Thanks for your thoughts.
