Is there a record of events, like an event log?

Hello! New to the game and largely enjoying it (although jumping straight into medium is certainly a challenge, due to the slow growth needed).

Does anyone know if there is a log or a record of active events (e.g. economic downturn / increased build costs, etc.)?

I frequently accidentally right click to get out of a menu or something, which will clear the info box for an event that popped up in that same second before I get a chance to read it :(
Then I have no idea whether I should be reducing rents, stocking up on cabling, delaying construction...

You can see any current events by clicking on the budget, then going to the global rents windo -- any active events are shown there.

I think I did suggested an events log some time ago, probably in Suggestions forum, similar to how Paradox games like Europa Universalis IV and Crusader Kings II had a message log that showed. I think SomaSims dev thought it was a good idea but it is probably not a big priority. Especially since it had been pointed out above that you can check by clicking on budget and going to rents window. I didn't know that one, good to know!

Thank you for this! Unfortunately not all events seem to be listed.

My budget currently shows one event (depressed economy), but does not show the other, concurrent event (increased construction costs; I think associated with a strike in an adjacent building?).

It's less fun to play a game when you can't figure out the rules :)

I think when you load the game the current event will be shown in a msg pop up windows in the top right corner
