How good is it with keyboard+mouse?

So, is it playable with keyboard + mouse? How well? I'm worried because of all that modern "gamepad as a default controller" trend in game development. I don't like gamepads and am not going to use it, but this game looks not unlike it could go the same way...

Perfectly fine with KB+M, I prefer it oddly enough.

Controls are simple.

Mouse - Aim shots / where you will dodge

LMB - Slash (hold to charge)
RMB - Shoot (hold to rapid fire)
Middle Mouse - Charge shot

WASD - Move
Space - dodge (hold to charge and dodge further)
F - Parry (I rebound this to left shift)

Looks like a cool game but I prefer KB/M is possible over a controller for games.
Anyone know how well it performs like that?

im using kb/m and seem to be doing fine though im only on the third boss

Note that I generally hate controllers. I even had some trouble playing Journey on my friends PS3.
I've heard some people complain about KB/M in this game but I had little problem with it. Got S rank on the first boss today. Also you can rebind all keys. I personally recommend rebinding charged shot from middle mouse button unless you have a mouse with side buttons and use those.

its passable with keyboard and mouse but the game is CLEARLY designed for a gamepad and as such you will get the best results if you use one....

IMO its worth it.. go drop a few bucks on a xbox1 controller and just plug it into your PC.. i did so just for occassions such as this... (and flying in games apparently is just easier for me with a gamepad)

Its passable with keyboard and mouse but the game is HEAVILY designed with the idea that the player will be using a gamepad... hell even when you start the game up it says HEY YOU SHOULD PROBABLY USE A GAMEPAD FOR BEST EXPERIENCE...

go pick up an xbox1 controller for a few bucks at like walmart or something... its worth it for when it just functions better.

It's not a matter of money. I've spent dozens of hours with gamepad in a few games and it's clear to me it's not "my type" of things.

Not that I mind the price, but a controller like that is hardly just a few bucks. lol

Hey, how did you rebind Parry with Left Shift? It doesn't work for me, and I also saw a few different posts ask the same thing but with no solution.
