More of these games would be very welcome, and I hope their next one will be using similar ingredients to Furi, since it's not a common formula today, but very fun. Cuphead reminded me a lot about Furi with its simplicities, challenge and fast action, though even that had a shop where you could buy weapons (but very limited).
Final Fantasy doesn't even *currently* have a monopoly on sequels having no interaction with past instalments. Persona 5 has nothing to do with the story and characters of any of the previous Persona games, and Mafia 3 similarl doesn't interact with the Mafia 1 & 2 characters.
