How come the music in-game is different than the ost?
Something I've noticed for a while now. The in-game version of songs are a bit (or a lot) different from the ost versions, why could that be?

The Strap's (or the 2nd boss, i dunno) song has louder percussion and a completely different part of the music (her melee phase)

The Hand's music has a guitar in it

Some of the notes in Burst's song are slightly different, and her phase 3 music is not in the ost (shame, best part of the song imo)

The Line has some exclusive part's in it too.

I'm not sure it's as different as you say, but it's true that there are some differences. The reason is that the music in the game is dynamic, it changes according to what happens, and it's separated loops that are used. In the OST, it's a track designed to be "a track", by each musician. For instance, Carpenter Brut decided to make one track for each of the bosses, combining the Path part and the Combat part. But overall, it's still very close and all the music has been composed by the musicians for the game.

Thanks for responding! I've had this question for a while now, and I finally got an answer!

I'm so glad that Carpenter Brut was able to do some of the ost, he did an amazing job, and so did everyone else! Thank you for this game!

Makes me think back to that GDC video with DOOM's composer, Mick Gordon. Specifically when he mentions the OST by itself should be set up like an album rather than just a collection of tracks thrown on there.
