They're great with your teammates
I wonder how that happened, How a special move ended up being worse than the regular moves.
I duno man. Mabye they are good for juggle combos if you get the hang of it. But to me it seems like you are better of doing the attack chains sins they are fast and hard hitting. I only use the viper skills when I need to cover some distance
Speaking of Bruno... his moves in general are bad - his air moves are near impossible to pull off and unless they add a way to flip your grapple from a head on to behind, the atomic drop is not so good either.
You can also catch people as they wake up with the spit. The ai doesn't block all the hits and are left airborn for a juggle.
I just started new game+ with Ryan. And realized how weak Bruno is in comparison. Especially early on.
Best move so far - just unlocked the Dark Rainbow (I think that's the name), where Glen shoots a glowing beam of light out of his crotch... all style, no substance on that one :)
Dark Rainbow is an absolute joke. I beat the game as Glen in my first playthough. You can't accurately calculate the spacing everytime you use it, the hit box is really niche, and it's neither dark nor a rainbow. I use it more so as a taunt when I'm just messing around and want to be a jerk playing guitar. Verdict: No Practicality
Ryan is insane
I think with the two other specials its just a matter of spacing and if you see a big group the straight viper jab will send em flying like bowling pins.
When I played Paul I only used the those two specials for either dodging or hitting someone getting to close to my current fight. It's great because the knockback hits everyone behind the target, so you can happily 1v1 and keep others away.
At least Glen's Hadoken hits everything in it's path.
