Controllers don't work.

I have 4 controllers all not working. Restarted many times. Lame.

Go to big picture mode. Go to the settings cog at the top right. Under controller settings. Enable support for your controller type. Power cycle your controller. Then enjoy.

Also for local multi-player, do not turn on extra controllers until in the character select screen. For some reason Steam will not recognize other controllers until then and will treat them as player 1.

So.. My old logitech controller did work and my mini hori 4 fightstick didnt work.. But King Venom is correct. Hooked up my ps4 controller and got DS4Windows. Works fine. Thanks King Venom.

The steam controller worked fine for me in big picture mode after I switched the control scheme to gamepad.

It seems to be working for now and I'm not enitirely sure what I did to make it work;;;

What I did;

When the controller worked outside of Steam, ect. Opening the game through Big Picture Mode seemed alright.

Needed to mess randomly with the buttons there. It didn't work and then I tried again, not sure if I did something different, but I opened the game through big picture mode and it seems to be working for me now.

We were able to get the controllers for player 1 and 2 working simply by launching the game in Big Picture Mode. Tried other methods but cannot get player 3 or 4 slots to work for keyboard/mouse or controller. So 2 can play local co-op but no more.

Before I got an Xbox Controller I used JoyToKey for games that didnt have controller support (Like DFO, etc), give it a shot.

I used the xinput (x360ce) program and the game partially recognized the my logitech control pad. I could move around with left stick and that was it. When I told steam to recognize the control pad as 360 controller, the game doesn't recognize the pad anymore.
