Sleeping parrot - plant doesn't grow back
I've already solved the puzzle where you can also get the "sleeping parrot" achievement. Supposedly the plant should grow back, but that does not seem to be the case. The left one has a flower, but the right one does not, meaning I can't get it to produce a fruit for the parrot.

Bug, or am I doing something wrong?

It does get a bit confusing. :/ Looking at the screenshot of the in-game hint page below, the white C flower should regrow as long as you don't have a C fruit in your inventory, or a white C flower growing in one of the spots up top. Additionally, the white flower won't regrow if you have a hybrid BC fruit/flower (part yellow + part white), or a hybrid AC fruit/flower (part red + part white), presumably because either can combine with a non-white flower to make the ABC mandrake root guy.

One last thing is that if after all that it *still* won't regrow, it's possible that you're too far away from the plant by the parrot...you might need to climb down and get closer.

Thanks for that! There were indeed white and hybrid flowers growing on the top part. Using the help information I got rid of them, and only have a bunch of basic flowers now, none of which is the white one.

Indeed, the flower now grew back!

Thanks again!

It is pretty counter-intuitive however. ;)

Bizarre requirements, but thanks for creating the thread and decoding the guide images. :chug:

How do I get another yellow fruit?
I keep going back to sleeping parrot area and pollinate the white flower but it won't give me a fruit

Hey plaza. I merged your topic with this one. Did you get the bee to visit both of the white flowers that are there? If only one flower is growing, my first post in this thread will tell you how to get the other one to regrow. Hope that helps.

I have a white, yellow and red fruit growing on top which I can't get rid of. Bee won't make any of them change. I have to be missing something. Only 1 white flower down below other won't grow again. What do I need to do?

Well, you mention that you have a white, a yellow, and a red fruit growing on top, but my guess is you're saying that you have a white, a yellow, and a red *flower* growing on top, yes? (Eh, I realize that there's no white fruit, so that must be what you meant, but I still thought I would clarify.)
...If so, looking at my screenshot posted above, you'll want to look at the drawing up at the top of the page on the right.
  1. Have the bee visit the yellow B flower first, then have it visit the red A flower...this will produce an AB fruit.
  2. Plant that AB fruit so it produces an AB flower.
  3. Have the bee visit the white C flower first, then have it visit the AB flower to produce the mandrake root guy.

I have tried everything described above without success but found a better method to achieve this :

Simply reload the Auto Saved game upon entering this area, there will be double white flowers at the bottom.

Thank you SO MUCH for this explanation! I thought I would need to re-play the game as I missed the Sleeping Parrot achievement the first time around and couldn't get the second white flower to regrow.

You’re welcome. :) Glad you were able to get the achievement.
