GPS will definitely help
Like the tile says, the use of a GPS will be a life saving, not everyone is able to navigate using a map as reference, can not find any port :( hopes is implement it in the future, at least an option on the menu, I understand that some users like the VOR navigation.

Check out a VOR tutorial. It will help massively. Its old school GPS using radio frequency to give you direction. A couple things to learn but fun and effective to use.
GPS for me would ruin whole fun and point from navigation.
Just learn to use VOR, it's actually more simple than a GPS... like seriously.
Strong opponent against GPS; Keep it VOR

Adding something as complex as a working functional GPS is certainly not an easy thing to achieve, especially this early on in Development.

I don't care if a GPS come much later on, but currently for the next 2-3 years, I am also highly against this being added.

VOR Nav is actually really easy, and the flights are short, it is not in dire need to be playable.
Flight instructor here. I love this game so much for having a simple barebones VOR and map I would use this 100% as a teaching tool for my students how to use a VOR

It teaches a pilots to understand position, not just follow a line
Think in radials and bearings
Track, intercept, correct, and verify
Cross-check instruments
Navigate when GPS gets weird, fails, or lies to you

GPS tells you where to go.
VOR makes you understand where you are.

My two cents, add another VOR head and you will know exactly where you are

Great Game!

Indeed. Also the Map is rather small, and the Dev said future locations will be SHORTER than the couple area's we have now, so it really isn't needed at all to have GPS.

Personally, I enjoy flying the aircraft myself, rather than staring at autopilot for about 10 minutes. I don't see how that's enjoyable unless it's a long 2-4hour flight.
i know others have answered, but even tho ive played microcrap flight sim, 2020 for a long while i flew in and out of area i knew, tho irl i dont fly, my brother owns a few planes and i just fly, one thing i learned from playing this game is how to set the cord, and dial in the VOR , look for ref on the map. it works great. distance is the only lacking thing, but after being to the 3 ports a few times its pretty easy. Funny now i will understand how to fly to specific locals on MSF in the future.
