You may need to double check that you've swapped to the beta branch. The main menu should say "Lakehopper 0.3.6" in the upper left. If it still says 0.3.5, you need to swap to the beta.

This can be done by right clicking the game in your Steam library and opening the Properties menu. Go to "Game Versions & Betas" on the left side of that window, and you'll see an option to pick "beta" under "Name & Description." Once the game updates to that branch, you can reopen it, confirm that the version has changed to 0.3.6 and the option should now appear under "Start Game" on the main menu.
thank you this really helped
So far, works great.
But since we don't have the ability of differential thrust, the plane can only steer on water, at relative high-speed using the main-rudder.
The water-rudder (down or up) has no function.
So it's impossible to park the plane at the moment.

However flying this thing is fun.
here's my two cents:

1. the rear pair of hatches need to be openable. the third row of the racks are hard to use
2. we still need to have the cart spawned in Glacier mode
3. please we need to be able to customize livery of Glacier like the older one (what's its name in-game again?)
4. it's slow, perhaps so slow that we need more destinations, some of which closer.
5. the output and fuel flow seems to be able to break the fuel cell's limit during cruising and charging?
6. I can't see battery percentage during flight, which is kinda counterproductive considering this is supposed to be a new pilot's plane.
7. I like the fixation ring design for the rotor, can we have that on the other plane(s) too?
8. I like these double float-type seaplanes. Maybe one day we can have a twin engine version, similar to a DHC-6. but we would need a better way to handle the far side float and engine, perhaps starting area having pier on both sides of the starting location of the plane could be a thing? that would also serve as a place for new plane to spawn (when old one despawns) when player upgrade to a different plane.
9. the rudder reaction seems a bit over sensitive, almost like there's a "auto rudder" like program in action. When I bank left it yaws left excessively, and then I try to correct right and it again yaws right excessively.
Btw....saving the game does not work for me. Is this intentionally ?
Makes trouble-shooting very tedious, imo.

Nope, definitely not intentional! Looks like a bug! I'm on it!

Fixed! I just pushed version 0.3.7 that fixes the bug preventing saving on the Glacier start. Thanks for finding this!

Thanks for the quick-fix. The save does work now.
But the lack of water-rudder makes this plane unuseable.
It seems to be, that the water-rudder initially (pre takeoff) works as exected:
-up no water-rudder
-down water-rudder active(in water)
After a short flight and a soft landing:
-regardless of "up" or "down", the water-rudder doesn't work anymore...like it's missing.

I tested this with and without the previous old game-option "fake water-rudder".
I tried both YAW-axis and ROLL-axis...
So there is no way to proper park the plane anymore.

did you perhaps fly with water rudder down? maybe it got damaged in the flight? there should be a reason why it's retractable.

Nope, I raised (up-position) before I even accelerated.
so i managed to connect a stock rack to the engine and screw them together and now the engine is screwed into the center of the cockpit
Did some more testing about the broken water-rudder:
-As mentioned, before take-off it works fine (YAW-axis and Q/E)
-After landing and lowering the water-rudder = no function (tested witth analoge axis and Q/E)
-exited the game/restarted the game and re-loaded the save (engine still running)
=water-rudder works fine until next take-off/landing

Def. something broken here.

Oops! I'll get that fixed.

Thank you for the detailed testing! Will be fixed in the next patch.

1. Yes, there will eventually be a part where you can choose to install cargo doors or not. But yes, right now I don't love the placement of the cargo racks. There'd be no physical way to get boxes in and out of the back.
2. I'll get the hand truck re-added.
3. Adding the recolor UI to the Glacier is on the to-do list.
4. This is planned. The average distance between destinations will be more like Nest Lake-Manypeaks, rather than Test Island to the other two. The slower plane will fit in just fine.
5. I'll take a look and see what I can find. If you've got more detail about when you're seeing this, that'd be helpful.
6. Electrical systems are due a major overhaul at some point. Right now batteries are totally optional anyway.
7. Already added! Right now, on an existing save you'll need to disconnect and reconnect the cores to get them to appear. I'm planning a fix to make them appear already secured on existing saves.
8. Got more planes planned for the future, including bigger ones! There's other stuff with higher priority, so no specifics for the moment.
9. I'll take a look! This is in-flight, correct?
im not if its a beta bug or a whole game bug but the camera controls somehow gets inverted when you go to external view but are fine when in first person, other than that my only complaint with the aircraft is that it would benefit from have the rear access doors to be openable and the racking moved back further towards the tail to suit this. did also notice that the rudder seems to work when rolling when on the sea, instead of the actual rudder controls
