Fires with the (command) walk-in rescue
Hi all,

I been trying to play these missions with the walk-in rescue and the command rescue. I can't however finish some of them because I run out of extinguishers or the extinguisher doesn't have enough power to even put out the flames. I play solo so I use the AI to go fetch new extinguishers initially but sadly they will just grab an empty one if it's closer. I also feel like some of these fires would be assigned to an Engine/TS/TLF seeing the size of them.

so with fire extinguishers you can not spray and pray with them. i can do all the missions with the walk ins with just 1-2 of them. you have to learn how to use them better.

Which mission does not work for you? I agree that the missions which forces you to use the walk-in rescue can be solved with 1-2 extinguishers (one took me 3).

i can confirm. all done in solo. i give the ai first the grab a extinguisher command and then they follow me with a full one.

Hello!

The Walk-In Rescue is a lighter vehicle to approach emergency locations faster. Furthermore the vehicle is equipped rather lightly (only fire extinguishers and tools) for smaller fires. For which mission exactly did you use the Walk-In Rescue?

I personally believe Walk-Ins shouldn't be dispatched to any fires unless another Fire Suppression apparatus is dispatched along with it...IRL it wouldn't happen (atleast in my area)..its a liability waiting to happen lol.

I'm mainly having an issue with the Hot Dog Truck mission and the Office Moving day. I feel like these missions are meant to act like "rapid Responder" missions but in fact I believe a Rescue in the US is more like a vehicle that responds to MVA's and as a support for bigger fires. I know in the EU we have Rapid Responders which are indeed faster but if anything the Rescues in this are slowwer and bigger and dispatching an Engine would I feel actually be more efficient?
Other than it's being far from an optimal vehicle to fight any fire larger than one bin with it's just derpy to me and there's no real reason to do so...

I hate to say it... But it feels like the heaviest slob of metal to drive so far.
Understeering and lack of ABS makes it my LEAST liked vehicle...
The TP3 is actually what I would call the lightest and best performer so far, so if I can, I avoid the Walk in vehicle.

I have found one of these missions to be bugged, cant remember the name, but its the one where the fire is between some cars and the side of a building, if you take too long the fires will go to the building's bush and its impossible to extinguish them, not from lack of extinguishers, but its really impossible to aim for it, just doesnt count.
