If you really REALLY want to play solstice again you should

1) Turn off steam cloud sync
2) Navigate to your oneshot folder in your AppData (filepath should look like
"C:\Users\GIR\AppData\Roaming\Oneshot" but replace GIR with your PC account name)
3) Delete save.dat and p-settings.dat
4) Launch the game

That will give you a clean slate, as if you've never played the game before.

if you want to restart without the steam sync go back into the game and under the exit button there is a "..." click that and talk to the entity, it will explain that it can replay Niko's memories for you, but you are not actually seeing Niko again.....which is a powerful message for those of us who actually like to bond with characters

this is really helpful for me because i intend on doing a video review on this game, and i really dont want to have to explain why niko looks the way she/he is before i do a solstice review section.

...but at what cost? i am going against the wishes of the entity, the entity didnt want niko in the world in the first place, and now i am forcing niko back into the world for no reason other than for the purpose of needing game footage for a review i probably will end up never finishing. am i thinking way too deep into this?

this is comparable to a true reset
Let Niko live his normal life in peace. Or just wait for someone to make a fanmade sequel and give Niko another adventure of stress again. Probably wont be long till a fangame of Oneshot is announced seeing how good it was. The community is full of people praising the game so i wouldnt be surprised if someone did make it.

When you say replace GIR with your PC name, do you mean Steam name? And where should I expect to find this file?

Not your steam name but the account on your PC name, the one that you installed the game on. Like the one you log into when you restart the computer or on the lock screen.
Copy and paste exactly this into the field at the top of your explorer window:
%appdata%\Oneshot
Then hit enter.
