It's really easy to cheat in this game, you just need to learn how to use a couple of simple funtions of Cheat Engine. There are tons of tutorials on youtube, happy cheating mate.

Yeah the RNG in this game is starting to annoy me. There is really no rhyme or reason to which faction will rise to the top. In my current game as the Knights there are only two other factions left, the Frogs and the Lizards but its an endless stalemate. I can defend against their attacks but i am not strong enough to take their lands for more then 1-2 turns till they take them back.
Then they counterattack, take 1-2 of mine which i in turn take then back.
Rinse and repeat for the last 30 turns. I think i will just give up on this match, this will never resolve.
Its really annoying that they have this max unit limit for your faction. I could have overrun the others a long time ago if the game would allow me to buy the troops to do it. I have like 800k gold in reserve by now but cant spend it on anything since i am at max troop strength.
As are the other 2 factions. Meh, i am cooling fast on this game, really crap balance and weird game mechanics in a lot of things.

Staff your fots with lots of mages. They decimate people who are trying to break through closed gates. For open battles, take a long line of infantry, some mages, and a handful of cavalry. have the cavalry swing around from the side, and take out the ranged units. this wins me 90% of battles. Just make sure you choose a plainsy area to make your stand, so you can use your cavalry properly. also don't let your cav chase into non-plains territory, or they get bogged down, and easily kited.

Take out the dwarves on the second turn then consolidate winning becomes easy after this.

Everything becomes easy if you can calculate and strategize also ♥♥♥♥ I forgot to finish that guide.

This. The important thing is to consolidate your borders. If you take th Dwarf capital you can hold down yoy west border with a big fort and also hold two 500 value provices. Just make sure you don't expand beyond the dwarf capital - if you can, leave the provices there neutral.

Once you unify the midlands and hold the Dwarf mountains you should have the most income of any faction, and can just win by attrition. I'd suggest taking the frog island next.

Tbh if you want to win try playing musket. They're the most op faction I've tried so far

You gotta make friends as the empire. You are sandwiched between every badass in the game and you need to early try to get diplomacy high enough to lock one of these fronts in an alliance. The frogs are pretty decent folk, you might be able to tie them down in one. Either way, take dwarf lands and then stack as many troops as you can afford each turn at the borders and just let them level by attrition as you watch for the enemy to overextend and have his reinforcements on E before you counter-attack. Remember, hiring troops costs your action, but you can hire troops AFTER an action. So you can replenish after a battle or keep replenishing otherwise.

You need a good mix of footmans, cavalry, and fire mages if you want to stand a chance to cover the various weaknesses of the enemy.

Made a guide for you all to read you bums and bumesses, but seriously we need someone to start on the other factions for guides. Already finished Kingdom of Gug's and a Guide for Free Officers to keep an eye out for.

Another thing to remember is that your soldiers gain 2 levels per turn... but ONLY if they don't recruit, move, attack or reinforce a defense that turn (so long as they never gain an 'E'). But also level 1 troops are very cheap to recruit (level 10 troops cost 10x as much). Also, most units do not require upkeep.

So it's a good idea to never end the turn with spare money. Always recruit as many soldiers as you can, but leave the spare squads alone in a border province (or just behind the border). Don't move them unnecessarily. They will train and become more and more powerful over time. If you every become particularly pressed by the enemy, you have a large reserve to call on.

By the way, a faction can have at most 1000 soldiers. You can hit this by turn 12 if you take some valuable territory. At that point, you have to switch to recruiting higher level soldiers!
