Best of luck to you
Thank you for this.
My controller is always plugged in and the game responded, so I just started using it. Anyway, i unplugged the controller and used keyb/m - yup, much better. Cancelled refund :)
Cheers :)
Thanks for your support for SPG series and to LGM.
Any further questions or help post away, our community, Dev's and Mod's will help you as best they can.
Or to put it another way, how do I learn this, since however I'm set up the usual QWEASD + mouse is insane level difficulty...
I been playing Mouse+Keyboard since spg1 days.
I use Turret mode (V Key selects Turret Mode) as prefered viewpoint and steer the ship with WSAD (QE-Roll) whilst the mouse allows me to rotate around my ship in 360 degree's (Space bar activates rotation on/off - When off can CLick and drag to rotate around ship as well) . Takes a little practice to get used to but it works well once gotten used to.
I'm still trying to find a setup for comfy cruising with my X52, just feels too good to give it up. I hope the in-game mapping will at some point include mapping for controller input in a secondary layer (possibly an option toggling off the auto-profile), this would certainly deal with the lack of profiles for various products.
i am new to the game and was wondering what people preferred as far as controller or KB. So far i like KNmouse better mainly because i can controll my mouse sensitivity AND i have an MMO mouse which makes it easier to use the items :D
Just find out what type of controller profile the game chose for you first so you have a base to do the basic mapping.
I have some extra buttons on my mouse, but I am still umming awwing about what to map where - so far I have only mapped heavy weapons and cloak.
Am curious what others do?
Besides weapons and cloaking I find it useful to have at hand:
Target Nearest / Mark Target / Fire at Will
Power to Engines / Shields / Weapons
