Can Portraits be changed later?

None of the default portrait scream 'me', so I was wondering if I could change it after I make or find one I like?

What I did was take a portrait file I liked from the portrait mod on the workshop, find out what portrait my save was using in the game's directory, and then simply renamed the file from the mod. You may have to use a .dds to jpeg converter to see the portrait files as I did.

You can customize your own portrait. Basically modify the file manually and install any picture you want as your portrait. (I'm using Ezra Dax from Deep Space Nine for mine).

If you open your save game in Notepad++ (Notepad is capable as well, but Notepad++ much better). Search for Portrait and find the following;

Player:
{
Portraits: SPGW23

Change the SPGW## and you can change your portrait to one of the other ones.
