Modding: Weapon Values (where to find these an the files?)
I am trying to learn to create weapon mods, but balanced to the game.
Now, I was looking for the values (damage, range, rate of fire, ...) to get an idea of what values I could use, and which to avoid.
Having a weapon that insta-vapes bosses, well... that would be extremely very much be boring, aye?

If anyone knows what file these values contain, and it's location, I'd be very happy.

Thank you in advance:
Kirz

Hey Samurai the weapon locations are in SPG/Data/Base

There are also a lot of other systems in that folder that you could tweak as well

Thank you.
So, if i were to make changes in say DMGMin and DMGMax (-10 points to Void 3 say), then the Void three will actually do less damage?

Or is that in an other file/location?

umm i usually just set them both to the same thing or just change the minumum because im not too sure how all that works.

For light weapons, hull damage per hit = (min + max) / 2.
shield damage = hull damage * shield modifier.

ik this if topic but I didnt want to make a whole thread for it. Is it possible to uncloak manually before the cloak duration completely finishes?

firing should break it.

It's doing truly odd things with the values in Range.
I'm not sure how these values are calculated, or what these represent INgame.
seems the values in the file is quite different from the one ingame.

Figured it out: Not RANGE # is what alters the range, but EnCost does.
Increasing the Energy Cost increases the range, and decreasing EnCost decreases range...

Interesting...

no no, you are looking at the wrong column.
internal range values are /10 of what they are in game.

Many of the values are mis aligned with the category they belong in so they will not be in just a straight orgnized line

Unless you're using an all-beam loadout. In that case, you can spend the whole two cloaked minutes wrecking targets in complete safety.

Fun-fact for the day.
