Heavy weapons
Does any one else think they are extremly Under powered for being heavy weapons? I have one that fires pretty fast and does about 600 dps but it does alot less than just firing my light weapons which do about 500 dps .

Yes, they are unimpressive - mostly useful on smaller ships which lack weapon energy.

Jackrabbit missiles seem ok. 420-1300 base damage ? 630-1950 with Artemis III + 20% radiation damage + 5% crt hit chance

Agreed -- I basically don't bother with them on anything bigger than a cruiser most of the time. Their damage potential is too low to shine through on the ship classes that have large numbers of light turrets. To be more precise, I still carry them but find myself only rarely using them.

They're cumbersome to use (at least with a controller) and yeah, loaded up with Harbinger III's, I honestly haven't noticed much of a difference in kill times or combat flow on any difficulty. At this point, they're the last thing on my ship that I'll bother to purchase or upgrade, if I bother at all.

I modded a "Nuke" in my game, it has insane amount of damage (120k-150k) and blast radius(10k), but the cooldown is 480 seconds and costs 80 mils - and for the sake of balance I'm using only one on the frontal heavy weapon placement.

When you fire off a missle and don't see the Hull of the enemy go down like 10-20% when it hits, something is horribly wrong.

I don't even see any "burst damage" in the steadly trickle of damage my Light Weapons inflict when hit an enemy ship with one...

For me, fast cooldown is important. That's why I use the "Precision Shot" skill at max, 10,000 damage and 5 sec. cooldown. Just a killer more than anything else.

Don't forget that it bounces 4 times. So it may hit same target again. Or kill small ships in 1 hit.
