Starpoint Gemini Warlords: Beginner's Guides

Hello all!!!
Today we begin and extensive guide for SPGW. I start from the very first in game screen to destoying planets and the end game. A complete breakdown of all game mechanics, controls, skills, perks, ships, map, upgrades, space station construction, and combat. I will keep the episodes short 8 to 12 minutes and they will all be time stamped so you can jump to any area to get a quick answer.

I watched the second video and must say that weapon/system hitpoints are separate and do not add to the ship hull.

Hey Geek I kind of knew that those things were separate, but do we know why? As far as I know there is no way to target specific systems, besides maybe during boarding. So should we even care what HP any of the systems have?

When you take hull damage, your systems can take damage too.
Losing systems is bad news, even if you use repair bots for the hull.

In STP2 you could target specific systems to a point. I though that because that button that was on the contex menu was no longer there they must have just rolled the numbers from the guns into the hull.
