Report a translation problem
As Geek said, more turrets. More shields. Better damage absorb from its perk. Better capacity and regen on its weapons. The only way I could ever see putting myself in a carrier was if I had a maxed-out fleet and I wanted to try fighting indirectly (though the short range on weapons makes that difficult).
Don't get me wrong, I would love to fly a Borealis around, and I did try a couple different carriers after capping them (was particularly looking forward to the Asgard and its 10 forward turrets, but... meh), but yeah. Dread go pew.
Hi Aerys, as others have said Carriers are under-powered atm, however we will make them worthy in upcoming patches. Generally game is still being balanced based on our observations and community feedback. :)

I personally think they should increase the slot amount from 3 to 5 or 6. Just imagine hitting that launch fighters button and a massive swarm of your dudes comes zipping out.
Cruiser -> Battleship -> carrier-> Dreadnought
I dont really understand where is the problem here? Sure Carriers are huge but they are fargile- they have less weapons and every other game has Dreadnoughts as tier 0 or top 1.
Carriers will always be support class tier 2 ships- even in real life- you take away their eskorts- take away their planes and its a huge boat.
So
If you really want to make a new tier- Mothership!(possible DLC)
Mothership class has Carrier + Dreadnought
It has huge space for many fighters/bombers- it has very heavy and lots of firepower- heavy hull- its enourmous in Size.
SPg2 had Titans- bring them back- also an option.
I did manage to get into sublight and run before I died, but it was close.
Ah... well, what if you had those fancy 9mil wings and enhancment for it?... still not amazing?
