Once you expand how do you defend your territories?
I haven't expanded very much, but I'm just wondering if the AI actually attacks your outposts as you expand out, and if so, what do you do? The map is massive and I'm not sure how you could get from one side of it to the other to help defend an area if it came under attack

Research and upgrade your outposts to stronger versions this helps a lot against the AI attempting to take them back.

Where possible always go and assist any regions being attacked by AI.

I myself have some smaller fleets also at certain strategic areas to help support hostile take overs.

Probably the first major thing to do when starting out is "Do Not" over extend yourself to much or you will feel the pain. Start out slow, build up your forces and then push out on conquest.

Yeah I've only expanded to out one outpost from the area where you start. So i'm certainly being cautious (I'm almost level 15) Are there T gates in this game like in 2? That way you could jump closer to an area? Also do your command points eventually get high enough to keep a few fleets around the map for that reason?

Yes there are T gates but most of them you have to build.
Your fleets can even use the T-Gates.
Yes you end up with a lot of command points if you upgrade your tactical module

Awesome thanks! One more question. Can you miss warmasters? I had a quest to kill one, and I did. I didn't try and jack his ship. I didn't want to miss out on one of them.

Yes, you'll get a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of command points eventually. I however haven't had many problems with AI fighting back, I mean, they try, but I upgraded my outposts fast and I got a fleet that's made out of all the Warmasters that I send to help defend outposts that are under attack which I'm lazy to attend to.

They do try to take stuff, especially that Schentul or w/e the hell is the name (Baeldor republic) is really annoying with trying to take that one outpost that I stole from them lol.
But the Revenants aren't really trying hard anymore because I guess they realized it's futile - they were a lot more agressive when I was flying lower tier ships lol, now I just wipe the floor with them.

And Rogues are just getting their zones wiped one after another so they don't really have time to attack me, all their fleet got intercepted. :D:

Those are just the freelance missions, you can kill them as much as you want, they're not related to you in any way except that they give a lot of credits and experience.

Basically everything that isn't important you can kill, so if you can kill it then don't mind it.

Yeah for me seems like you can expand a decent bit without much issue but then you start to hit zones that have actual stations in them and its goes from the lik 1-2k fleets on outposts to like 15-20k on the stations I have seen.

But HOW you build a T Gate?
The cyborg dude said that to me but I see the option nowhere

Research something called Hyperspace Torrent Module or something like that, and then use civilian fleets on wormhole and/or inactive T-Gates to make them.
