i really don't think a spelunky veteran would be complaining about an incredibly long time limit

and i know the ghost exists for a reason (hence why i'm not saying it should be removed entirely) but personally i just don't enjoy it being there in any way. especially when i'm doing something like trying to get a dog and a weapon to the exit while looking around the level or get all the turkeys on a level to one spot to get all 3 with one bombs (or both, in some cases) or even just taking my time combing through the level to try find anything i can
in general 3 minutes should be enough time for any level so as long as you arent trying to collect absolutely everything you should be fine, perhaps try looking up game tips or something, this is a quite difficult game after all. myself i can mostly plunder MOST of a level (sacs, money, etc) and have a chunk of time left, so maybe you need to simply get better
ofc its your copy and you can play and mod it how you want in the end i respect that, but consider it again maybe
looks like a couple new tables have been posted for the current version, so for now at least you should be able to disable the timer even if you can't stop the ghost from spawning if you hit a cursed jar.
