The game will still run, but regardless of hardware aspect ratio the playable area will be 16:9.
It's not laziness but design, extending the view so that widescreen players can see further away would change gameplay significantly.
I had a feeling that was the reason why.
I understand that people with expensive hardware want to use it as much as possible (even I get a little bummed out when a new game doesn't go over 60fps), but it's important not to feel spoiled or entitled and demand that devs alter their work and vision to meet those requirements. In the gaming world, the needs of software are more important than the needs of hardware
It doesn't affect gameplay and is a nice touch.
I don't know why this isn't more popular. Easy fix, everybody is happy! Heck, you could even have some of the UI on the sides, showing current score, bombs, ropes, and all that jazz. Utilise that space my dudes.
No its LAZINESS why are you opting for me what i may like or not? Just give proper support for PC or dont release it to PC at all. The only reason im keeping this game is because i normally use my TV (16:9) when a game plays better with controller but i would love to sometimes play on my monitor. Stay safe LAZY devs.
Self-entitled baby
