Meatboy's absence in the sequel I can understand as he was pretty much an easter egg in the first game.
I just wish everyone from the original was included, having the Sombrero guy in the sequel and called Paco, would've been a pretty cool easter egg for Israel Blargh (afaik he played mostly him and named him Paco).
Literally have not heard anyone say that ever about good ol Paco.
They can't, such thing is considered kind of racist nowadays. You can thank politicisation of everything.
People who think so should get a grip.
For instance, the Gamer brain sees non-white, non-male protagonists as "political" and will complain endlessly about some agenda. I didn't think that kind of garbage would be on a Spelunky message board, but sure enough, the main character being a girl, a thread already exists full of people complaining (not this thread), so much so that it had to be locked and addressed in a pinned FAQ.
Some people need to get educated and grow up.
