Any tips on millionaire achievement?

This is my last achievement and I'm having trouble with it. -other than to get the cosmic ocean that I have done that glitched out.

I like to speed through the game and I am not good at slowly collecting all the gold because if I die it's 30 minutes runs. I was thinking tusks idol 40k then tusks palace ghosted is 600k and finally beating the game 100k but idk

You just answered your own question lol. Focus on getting around 250k-300k, then ghost tusks vault successfully in 6-4 (which is worth around 600k-650k). Winning gives you 100k, or 200k for the special ending. I recommend that you DON'T anger any shopkeepers, because it's just not worth it (I even bought 100k worth of stuff at the black market and still made it back to the 250k-300k mentioned). Also grab every gold idol you can, it'll help a lot.

Alright thank you, I wasn't sure if you could do it without angering the shopkeepers because of the treasure they guard I won't anger them so hopefully that will save me some attempts.

• Gem, gold & idol value scales with each area
  
• Ghost jar > Damsel
  
• Don't waste time picking every nugget, take what's on the path or low risk
  
• Gamble on 4-1, using whipping trick you get extra 50k + probably some good items
  
• Go for challenges, in moon ignore the bow and go for gems and gold you can always get extra 5-10k there, star on other hand pays for itself after you light up every torch + clone gun helps in future.
  
• Bring clone gun to tusk's lair and clone extra chests. If ghosted instead of 600k, you get around 800k

I've been working on this one the last two days and both times that I ghosted the vault I got significantly less than 600k. It was about 430k the first time and 250k the second. I assume it's just bad luck, unless they nerfed the rewards here since this topic was first posted. If there were always just eight chests then I don't know how people are reliably getting 600k out of this.

I'll try bringing the clone gun next.

edit: Is there maybe a limit to how many items can sit in the same tile? I stacked all eight chests and then whipped the gems all onto a single tile. Maybe there's a limit and some of them despawned and that's why I got less than the 600k?

@Glareseethe I don't think so. You might have picked up some gems on accident or not ghosted all of them or something, but if you ghost every single gem it should be around 600k. You may have been unlucky though with gem spawns, since each chest spawns a number of gems between, say, 4 and 7 (not the actual numbers but a guess), and if you got all low rolls you'd get less money. Not really sure tho

It must have just been bad rolls as you say then, cause I definitely had them all ghosted (they were all on the same tile after all).

In any case I just got the achievement and the ghosted vault gave me 560k, which is much more like it. Just in case and because I was paranoid, I made sure to not stack the chests/gems this time, had them spread all over the floor instead.

I read that you have to hit the stacked chests several times, for instance 3 times with the shotgun, in order to open ALL of them. It could be the reason why you got less gold in other runs.

Interesting, that might be it. Maybe some of them didn't open and I didn't notice cause they were sitting under a billion gems. Good to know.

1. go to the pleasure palace. 2. get into the vault and stack all the chests up on top of each other. 3. open them, but dont collect them. 4. wait for the ghost to arrive, and he will ghost all the gems. 5. dodge the ghost and get like 600k

I just took the dupe gun from tide pool and duped the chests in pleasure palace and ghosted all them. And then finished the run. Didn't even really pick up much gold along the way. Pretty easy overall outside of ghosting the gems and making it out.

not dunking on shopkeeps isnt conducive to saving your cash
i say simply go the route of raiding vaults, going CoG, and raiding madame tusk especially, a successful round of this practically guarantees 1mil

also idk if it was just me but i still got the chievo even after dying, you just have to get the one mil

i also recommend jungle btw since the potential bombs from BM helps with CoG
(btw you dont have to bother with duat)

bombing good spots of walled gems helps, pick up most gems on the way and idols etc

with this strat i got it even without ghosting, frankly this way it can just be a good seed with phat loads of bombs that gets you the 1mil

u sort of have to take some time this way though, but if you really want to speed through ghosting the guarded vaults can probably propel u to 1mil alongside madam tusk
