So... is there more after [REDACTED]? (Heavy spoilers)

[spoiler}So, we know there's Tiamat. Then there's Hundun. Then there's the Cosmic Ocean.

After getting to the Cosmic Ocean and reaching the last level (99), the game ends with a picture of a star constellation (Felix Major, Felix Celeritas etc.). What's up with that?

You guys think there's yet another thing to be found? I've seen scores of 9-2 on the daily, but I don't know of any world 8 or 9, so it could be a hacker.

Also, there's the question of the "true crown" (jester hat) and if it does something else than being a whacky chaos tool.

I'm pretty sure there's more. I've found many hints pointing at Cthulhu. Maybe having multiple crowns does something or maybe you need more than one players in the 7-99 to get the Hydra constellation.

I'd love that.

Also, it's interesting how Spelunky 2 doesn't have a multiplayer achievement. Few people did the one in Spelunky 1 (I solo'd it by carrying player 2 to Olmec), but if the last super boss would require team work, yeah, that would be fun.

9-2 scores were because of a bug that existed in an earlier version of the game but has been patched since.

Out of curiosity, I did a True Crown run and got to 99 of Cosmic Ocean (yes, by cheating) and I got the "Animus Major" (Greater Evil) constellation.

Earlier I did it with the Eggplant Crown and got "Solanum Major" (Solanum is the genus that Eggplant belongs to)

Interesting, I've seen Crown run get "Felix Major" (Felis Latin for cat) and
Crown + Scepter run get "Felix Celeritas" (Celeritas Latin for speed).

What do you see when you go up in the base camp and look through the telescope?

I've been thinking that maybe we need to get to Cosmic ocean/complete the game with multiple Crowns or multiple players to get something else than just a constellation?

Reaching 7-99 in a true run is so difficult and unlikely, especially with crowns like True Crown and Eggplant Crow, way more difficult than anything in Spelunky 1, I just can't imagine Derek putting the constellation thing in there just like that, without any meaning. It would be like the world's hardest and unrewarding collect-a-thon..

Maybe all constellations possible combined will unlock something, but man, that would be something for the truly insane.

I'm avidly watching a Korean Youtube channel called 알송의 게임기록실 (khozzang1), he's regularily doing runs like these, maybe he's stumbling onto something.
