Male/female characters

There will be many different characters to play as, but to make a male/female/etc counter-part for every single playable character is not even close to necessary.

Support. I wouldn't mind a male and female version for each character. I don't see anything wrong with this - in the first part there were a lot of skins for every taste.

There's more than twice as many playable characters in Spelunky 2, no need for female/male version of each one.

But everyone has different possibilities (although I'm not sure). And the male versions of the characters do not look very good... charismatic.

Spelunky's characters each have unique personalities and backstories, allowing you to change their gender would conflict with all that stuff since they aren't blank slates. It would be like asking for a female Mario or a male Samus.

There are already a lot of playable characters in Spelunky 2.
We have no plans to change existing characters or add more characters at this point in time.

this doesn't matter to somebody that cares deeply about being able to play a female / trans character, all they care about is that THEY, the person, would like to play whatever they want. It doesn't matter how much it ♥♥♥♥♥ the game or doesn't make sense.

It turns out that all the characters are the same. I didn't know that at first. You can just choose who you like best. I hope there will be a speleologist from the last part, so far from those I saw in the game I don't like anyone)
