can Local Coop activate split screen? [SOLVED]

I would like to know if this game has any option to activate split screen on Local Coop, I haven't bought the game yet but I would love to play with my sisters just like we played Spelunker Party!

No, unfortunately the engine we use isn't designed to handle split screens and It can't be added in a reasonable time.
We're considering some alternatives but bugfixing and finishing remaining features takes priority.

The ability to switch the camera to another player with the press of a button (Select for example) would make the co-op experience much more manageable, and would probably be reasonably easy to implement?

This is actually a great idea. Would be a nice addition to the local co-op.

Im planning to use switch for coop with steam, that way both should have full screen for themself right?
But online on steam does not work atm
