FOV Fix. Now you can go higher than 90.

Hello everyone, I found the base address for fov using cheat engine and thought I'd share the fun.

What you'll need:

1. Cheat engine.
2. Fileunsigner (it's free) Re7 blocks CE signature when running.
3. My cheat table located on this page (look for my post, it has the table attached called re7fov. ctrl +f re7fov if you can't see it): http://forum.cheatengine.org/viewtopic.php?t=602679&start=90&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=

Steps:

1. Unzip fileunsigner and drag the three exe's located in your cheat engine folder onto fileunsigner.exe When this is done, place all three exes back into the cheat engine folder.

2. Open re7, then open CE, then attach CE to re7 (click the computer icon underneath file)

3. Open my cheat table in cheat engine by either dragging the file into cheat engine or clicking the folder icon.

4. Change the value to set your desired fov. 2=80, 3=85, 4=90, 5=95.....etc then check the box to freeze it.

but why? anything above 90 starts to warp the image aka things in the middle look fine, but on the edge of your screen it begins to stretch and widen the look.

90 looks great!

Going higher in small incremenents looks fine still. Some people including myself don't enjoy 90, my default is 100 for most games. Plus the weapon zoom was zoomed in pretty far, this fixes that as well. It also opens the door to help out for vorpx modifications where fov was a problem if you tried to play this in vr.

You need to attached cheat engine to re7. It's a base address that pulls the active memory address when the the game is running. It only reads ??????? if you don't have cheat engine attached to re7. Follow the directions.

I know how to use cheat engine. Attatched to re7.exe, dragged the table and it still shows ???????.

So I figured it out. For some reason the address on your table was incorrect or didn't work for me. I used your 2=80, 3=85, 4=90, 5=95 thing and kept switching fov and scanned back and forth between 4 and 3 until I got the right address.

It was 07E7D7B8 4 bytes.

I wouldn't use that program if I were you it can get you vac banned from any game that uses Vac security its not worth it just to get a bit more FOV.

RE7 is a single player game. No reason for it to have VAC. No risk involved with this game.

I have used that program before for CK2 and got a Vac Ban on Dayz, Arma 2 and Arma 3 it gives your account a Vac as a whole rather then just one single game.

Using that method you'll have to rescan for that each time since the memory changes. I provided the base address that points to all those combinations. Try it again and see my post above. It's definitely working as my pictures show.

I've had cheat engine on my machine for years and have never received a vac ban. If you got one, you had cheat engine running when playing those games whether it was attached or not. No one on the cheat engine forum has ever received a ban just for having it on their machine.

Interesting. I haven't had much response on this since I posted it in different places, but if I find other people are having the same issue, I'll update the table and repost it. I can't really help with the issue since it's not happening on my end and I know I have the right pointer for the base address since it works correctly for me. In the mean time, you can use point scanner to find that address and narrow it down too if you like. We can compare our findings and see what the issue might be.
